Crafted from supple, water repellent and breathable leather, the seams face downwards to shed water. Combining a lacing system with an efficient zip side, the Defiant is easy to get on and off but fully adjustable for great ankle support. A scuff cap increases durability, and the innovative IGS sole provides superior grip and stability. Upper:Supple, water resistant and breathable S3 leather. A full bellows tongue helps to prevent dirt and water ingress, and an ergonomic padded collar provides added comfort for a driving position. Lining:Deep comfort moisture wicking, highly breathable lining. Cooler in summer and wamer in Winter. Footbed:Heel pump shock absorbing footbed. Contoured to support the foot, with air channels to wick moisture and reduce heat build up and odour. Toecap:Wide fitting composite non sparking and thermal insulating. Tested to impact of 200 Joules. Protective midsole:A woven fibre midsole designed to protect from sharp objects entering underfoot. Sole:Inspired by tyre technology and made from highly durable rubber, the IGS sole unit features a unique hexagonal tread ensuring superior traction, ladder grips offering firefighter levels of safety and a re-designed heel strike pad delivering exceptional water dispersal.
